Two main meals are provided by the housekeeper (to a very high standard) in the dining room, as well as mid-morning tea and coffee. Residents make their own breakfasts in their rooms with basic commodities provided by the housekeeper.
Residents are free to use the washing and drying machines and all other common facilities.
Darwin House is essentially a residential home and nursing care is not provided other than that which would be reasonably provided in a domestic situation.
Nurse assisted bathing can be arranged with Social Services. Hairdressing, chiropody and other such services are arranged. There is a library service. Trips out and parties are regular events.
